Almost all states have different laws regarding insurance coverage and policies. Kansas is a "no fault" car insurance state and individuals that carry car insurance are required to have personal injury protection (PIP). PIP is designed streamline accident claims and cover medical expenses and lost wages deemed reasonable by your insurance company.
